Fulton Hogan CEO Awarded IPENZ Fellowship

Rober Jones IPENZFulton Hogan New Zealand CEO Robert Jones has been given a prestigious honour by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ).

Robert was elected a Fellow at the IPENZ annual Fellows’ and Achievers Awards dinner on Friday. The IPENZ Fellowship recognises Robert’s outstanding achievements and significant contribution as a leader in the engineering profession.

Robert was elected with the following citation:

Robert Jones is elected a Fellow of IPENZ for his leadership in the engineering profession. In particular, we recognise his contribution to engineering management and leadership in the construction industry. As Chief Executive of Fulton Hogan Ltd, he heads one of New Zealand’s most significant construction companies, leading work on major innovative alliance projects and the Christchurch infrastructure rebuild. He came to New Zealand as Project Director for the Northern Gateway motorway, one of this country’s most complex infrastructure projects, which was successfully delivered. He has developed emerging leaders though mentoring and he is now on the Board of NZ Council for Infrastructure Development to help guide best practice. He has made a significant contribution to the engineering profession.

Robert joins four other Fulton Hogan IPENZ Fellows, Nick Miller, Dr. Bryan Pidwerbesky, Mike Howat and Lindsay Crossen (retired).
