National Broadband Network

Telecommunications and Services

Client: NBN

Completion date: May 2014

Capability: Telecommunications and services

Project type: Build only

The National Broadband Network (NBN) is an important national initiative to deliver broadband to every Australian – helping businesses, students, communities and individuals make better global connections, no matter how geographically isolated they are.

Fulton Hogan has delivered the civil works on the National Broadband Network (NBN) roll-out across six Adelaide suburbs in South Australia.

A Collaborative Approach

The work involves trenching, plus haul and splice of the high-speed fibre cable along the main suburban streets. Throughout the project, Fulton Hogan took a collaborative approach with the local community. We enjoyed a significant partnership with Phoenix Society, a social enterprise group that provides employment and services to people with disabilities, and, together, we worked on tagging identification labels to the cabling on the NBN.

Phoenix’s service-oriented, quality-assured focus made the partnership a positive one and we appreciated their support and assistance.
