City of Port Phillip engaged Fulton Hogan to construct a new community asset consisting of a skate park, beachside BBQ, picnic, play areas and public toilets for the community.
The project was part of a complete upgrade of St Kilda Marina Reserve area for Melbourne’s key tourist and beachside suburb of St Kilda.
This community space includes accessible walking paths, new bike lane, improved environmental features, and quiet spaces to watch the water and skyline views, additional coastal vegetation and seating and reduced car parking.
St Kilda is an iconic location to Melbourne, and the new skate park and area is now enjoyed by local families and visitors to Melbourne alike.
“My children get a real buzz out of visiting the St Kilda skate park and trying out what ‘dad’ helped build. I’m proud to have played a part in creating this fantastic community facility which brings families and friends together.” Chay Thao – Fulton Hogan Landscapes Department Manager
